Bruce Ekhoff was a carpenter, roofer, and framer working in the Peoria area since 1974. Having served in the US Navy and as a Peoria County Deputy previously, he always knew his heart was in construction. In 1974, Bruce left the force and went to work for Custom Builders. Bruce began working with a partner, before he eventually went on his own, and changed the name of the business to Bruce Ekhoff Builders Inc. Bruce’s reputation throughout the industry is that of integrity and excellent workmanship, one which we work hard to follow today!
In 2005, Bruce hired Dustin Falkingham to assist him in sales/project management. Dustin, 31 years old at the time, had worked in the industry for various companies as a sales representative and business manager for the previous 10 years. Dustin had experience as laborer doing roofing and siding work since he was 15 years old.
Bruce and Dustin’s working relationship grew to one of mutual respect for each other’s abilities, faith, and family. They drastically grew the business together, until Bruce decided to retire in 2015. Bruce had the confidence and trusted Dustin to carry on the business and uphold it’s integrity for the future. Bruce still works part-time as a consultant for Ekhoff Builders.
Dustin along with his wife Bridget, resides in the Pekin Area with their 7 kids, 1 grand daughter and dog Jack. They are active in supporting their community, and Church. Bridget actively raises money for Saint Jude also participating in the annual Peoria to Memphis Run. They both do missionary work in Haiti, as often as life provides.
It is our desire to carry on the name proudly, and provide Ekhoff Builders’ customers with the upmost honesty and integrity. We are proud to carry on Bruce and Rose Ekhoff’s business, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you!
